Pediatric Phadiatop Panel

0 Azn

The Pediatric Phadiatop Panel is a test that measures the most common inhalant allergens of Immunoglobulin E (IgE). It is typically used for the initial diagnosis of sensitivity to inhalant and food allergens in children under 5 years old.

This panel is prepared as a mixture of common allergens. If the test result is positive, further individual allergen testing is recommended.

  • Biomaterial: Venous blood sample
  • Special preparation: Not required
  • Diagnosis of allergic diseases related to inhalant and food allergen sensitivity (e.g., bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, respiratory allergy, food allergy, atopic dermatitis).
  • Detection of sensitivity to inhalant and food allergens.
  • In children under 5 years old with allergic symptoms (e.g., nasal congestion, sneezing, redness and itching of the eyes, watery nasal discharge, dry and itchy skin after consuming various foods).
  • If in vivo allergy testing (skin prick test) is not possible due to suspected allergens.

Positive Result:

  • Indicates sensitivity to common inhalant and food allergens.
  • Suggests the presence of allergic diseases such as:
    • Bronchial asthma
    • Allergic rhinitis
    • Allergic conjunctivitis
    • Respiratory allergy
    • Food allergy
    • Atopic dermatitis related to sensitization to inhalant and food allergens.

Negative Result:

  • No sensitivity to inhalant and food allergens included in the Pediatric Phadiatop Panel.
