The Pediatric Phadiatop Panel is a test that measures the most common inhalant allergens of Immunoglobulin E (IgE). It is typically used for the initial diagnosis of sensitivity to inhalant and food allergens in children under 5 years old.
This panel is prepared as a mixture of common allergens. If the test result is positive, further individual allergen testing is recommended.
- Biomaterial: Venous blood sample
- Special preparation: Not required
- Diagnosis of allergic diseases related to inhalant and food allergen sensitivity (e.g., bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, respiratory allergy, food allergy, atopic dermatitis).
- Detection of sensitivity to inhalant and food allergens.
- In children under 5 years old with allergic symptoms (e.g., nasal congestion, sneezing, redness and itching of the eyes, watery nasal discharge, dry and itchy skin after consuming various foods).
- If in vivo allergy testing (skin prick test) is not possible due to suspected allergens.
Positive Result:
- Indicates sensitivity to common inhalant and food allergens.
- Suggests the presence of allergic diseases such as:
- Bronchial asthma
- Allergic rhinitis
- Allergic conjunctivitis
- Respiratory allergy
- Food allergy
- Atopic dermatitis related to sensitization to inhalant and food allergens.
Negative Result:
- No sensitivity to inhalant and food allergens included in the Pediatric Phadiatop Panel.
