Ketamine is a drug primarily used for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia. It induces a trance-like state while providing pain relief, sedation, and memory loss. Other uses include chronic pain management, sedation in intensive care, and treatment of depression. Under its influence, essential functions such as heart activity, breathing, and respiratory reflexes usually remain intact.
Biomaterial for analysis: Venous blood.
Do not eat for 4 hours before the test.
Assessment of drug concentration in the blood.
