Lamotrigine (Lamictal, Lamitol, Lamolep) is an antiepileptic drug whose mechanism of action is based on its effect on neurons through specific mediators involved in the development of epileptic seizures, as well as by blocking surface sodium channels. The maximum concentration of the drug in the blood is reached 2-3 hours after a single dose, while a stable plasma concentration is achieved within 7-8 days after the start of regular intake. It is recommended to conduct testing every 2-3 months during dose adjustment and throughout the treatment period.

The test results are evaluated by the attending physician, taking into account the drug dosage, method of administration, patient's age, comorbidities, and individual drug tolerance.
