Manganese is a mineral present in the human body in very small amounts. The total manganese content in the body does not exceed 20 milligrams, with most of it concentrated in the bones, kidneys, liver, and pancreas. Known both as a metal and a mineral, manganese plays a crucial role in industry and human health. It is an essential element for all known living organisms, as many enzymes contain manganese.
