The kidneys perform vital functions in the body, including filtration, maintaining electrolyte and fluid balance, removing toxins, and regulating blood pressure. This package is designed to detect both early-stage and more advanced kidney diseases.

Who is this package suitable for?

  • Individuals experiencing a burning sensation during urination;
  • Those with swelling in the legs or face;
  • People with high blood pressure or diabetes;
  • Individuals taking medications that may affect kidney function;
  • For preventive screening, especially for people over 40 years of age.

Examinations included in the check-up package:

  • Urinalysis (Complete Urine Test): Assesses the kidneys’ filtration and concentration ability, and helps detect abnormalities such as inflammation, infection, and protein loss.
  • Creatinine (blood): An increased level of creatinine in the blood indicates a reduced ability of the kidneys to filter blood. It may rise due to chronic or acute kidney failure, dehydration, urinary tract obstruction, or certain medications.
  • Urea (UREA): Produced in the liver, its level in the body reflects protein metabolism and kidney function.
  • Uric Acid (URIC): Elevated levels may indicate that the kidneys are not effectively eliminating uric acid, suggesting impaired filtration. High uric acid is associated with gout (crystal deposition in joints), kidney stones, and chronic kidney disease.
  • Creatinine Clearance (calculated from blood values and body weight): An indicator of how efficiently the kidneys filter blood. It is typically calculated using blood creatinine levels along with the patient’s age, sex, body weight, and sometimes urine creatinine levels.
  • BUN: A measure of the amount of nitrogen in urea, a waste product of protein metabolism and primarily synthesized in the liver.
  • Albumin/Creatinine Ratio (urine): This test is one of the most important and recommended tests for detecting kidney damage in diabetic patients, hypertensive patients, and early-stage chronic kidney disease.
