Cardiac muscle function check-up package is a powerful diagnostic tool consisting of essential tests for the early detection of acute and chronic myocardial damage, heart failure, and risk of myocardial infarction.
This package is used to accelerate the evaluation of patients with symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, unstable blood pressure, fatigue, and chest heaviness, and to enable timely, life-saving intervention.
Examinations included in the check-up package:
- CRP: A marker of inflammatory activity in the cardiovascular system.
- Troponin I: The most specific and sensitive biomarker of myocardial injury. It indicates the extent and timing of damage during myocardial infarction.
- CK-MB: Rises earlier than troponin and normalizes faster. Used in acute injuries (such as myocardial infarction and myocarditis).
- Myoglobin: A protein found in muscle tissue, including the heart muscle, responsible for binding and storing oxygen.
- ProBNP: Synthesized by heart muscle cells. Elevated levels are seen in patients with heart failure.
- LDH (Lactate Dehydrogenase): Increases when many tissues are damaged, including heart cells. It typically rises 2–5 days after myocardial infarction.
- Homocysteine: A biomarker associated with atherosclerosis and vascular stiffness.
- Fibrinogen: A blood clotting and inflammation marker. Elevated levels indicate increased risk of thrombosis and may signal cardiovascular events.
- CK : Indicates general muscle damage (heart, skeletal muscles, etc.). In cardiac injury, it is interpreted together with CK-MB.
